Robert Half Staff Accountant in the Woodlands, Texas
Description We are searching for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. The role will also involve preparing journal entries and assisting with the month-end close process.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
• Prepare journal entries as necessary to assist with financial reporting
• Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accounted for
• Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, and QuickBooks to manage financial data and perform job functions
• Continually review and improve accounting processes for efficiency and effectiveness
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes to accounting rules and regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Extensive knowledge and experience with General Ledger maintenance
• Experience in preparing and recording Journal Entries
• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures and processes
• Proficiency in using NetSuite for various accounting tasks
• Experience with Oracle and its applications in accounting operations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and its applications in financial management
• Adherence to ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
