College of Mount Saint Vincent Esports Head Coach in The Bronx, New York

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to grow the program, bring in new students and reach recruiting goals set by the Athletic Director

  • Instruct esports student-athletes on aspects of esports competition, including game strategy, teamwork, communication, sportsmanship and leadership

  • Coordinate coaching staff

  • Develop coaching plans and practice schedules for teams

  • Oversee esports scheduling and events such as practice, scrimmages, conference matches and tournaments

  • Seek out competition and opportunities

  • Manage team academic requirements and standards

  • Manage esports facilities and equipment

  • Develop strategic partnerships

  • Manage esports budget

  • Coordinate uniform orders

  • Identify corporate sponsors

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in esports management, sports management or a related field

  • 1+ years of relevant experience (volunteer, competition and/or professional)

  • Knowledge of various esports titles including, but not limited to, League of Legends,

  • Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. and Valorant.

  • Understanding of tournament formats and esports competition structure

  • Familiarity with Discord communication application

  • Proficient with technology and communication applications

  • Available some nights and weekends

Benefits

The allotted stipend for this position is $25,000
