College of Mount Saint Vincent Assistant Professor of Psychology I Tenure-Track in The Bronx, New York

Start Date: August 2025
Responsibilities:
Teaching Load: 21 credits per year, including:
Introductory psychology courses
Courses in the candidate’s area of specialization
Other foundational courses in the psychology major
Opportunity to develop new courses for the curriculum
Research:
Engage undergraduates in an active research program within the department
Research support available through various University funding sources
Service Responsibilities:
Academic advising for students
Participation in departmental and University activities
Serving on University governance committees
Requirements
Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in psychology from an accredited university (ABD candidates will be considered)
Training, teaching experience, and an established research program in school/counseling psychology or forensic psychology
Candidates from all areas of psychology will be considered, with preference given to those specializing in school/counseling or forensic psychology
Teaching and Mentorship:
Demonstrated strong record of teaching and mentoring a diverse undergraduate student population
Commitment to supporting student success in an urban, liberal arts educational setting

The allotted salary range for this position is $68,000 to $70,000
