WTW Senior Data Engineer * in Thane, India
The Role:
Create and maintain the data engineering standards and best practices that support the “common as possible, distinct as necessary” philosophy of WTW.
Actively collaborate with embedded data teams to educate them on the standards and best practices and the value such approaches bring to the enterprise. Interacting with data teams in the lines of business (or segments) will be the key function for this role.
Partner with embedded data teams to help resolve any issues they have with implementing the standards and best practices.
Assist in the development of a process to assess the implementation of data architecture standards and best practices.
The role will be part of the Global WTW Technology team and will report directly to the Director of Data Architecture.
The Requirements:
7+ years of experience in data engineering development and related functions required with an ability to articulate data engineering standards and best practices.
2 + years of experience in data architecture.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a team player with emphasis on collaboration and partnerships. Willingness to work with individuals from many different teams is critical.
Requires a solid understanding of data architecture approaches, data flow development, and data modeling concepts.
Experience working with the full Microsoft technology stack, (Database, Data Warehouse, Data Analytics and BI, particularly as implemented within Azure), and with agile development methodologies is required.
A working understanding of the fundamentals of Microsoft Fabric is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability and proven analytical and methodical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
