UTHealth Houston School of Public Healthinvites applications to fill an open rank tenure-track faculty position on the Houston Campus located in theTexas Medical Center.

The position is available and affiliated withHealthcare Management (HCM)within theDepartment of Management, Policy and Community Health (MPACH)with the following emphases:

  • Health Care Management, Strategy, Operations

  • Organizational Theory, Behavior

  • Advanced Research Methods in Management Sciences

Position Key Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing a funded research program and disseminating findings in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Teaching hybrid classes in health care management and advising Masters and Doctoral students (including service on doctoral student committees)

  • Contributing civic service to the school, profession, and communities.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a Doctoral degree in: Health Care Management/Health Care Administration/ Management/Human Resources/Organizational Psychology/Industrial Psychology/ or related field.

Preference will be shown to applicants who:

  • Demonstrate ability to publish in peer-reviewed management journals and other peer-reviewed journals related to the field.

  • Have an emerging or established research program with evidence of extramural funding (or its potential).

  • Can offer advanced coursework and advising to our doctoral program in health care management.

  • Contribute to professional and community service.
