McGovern Medical SchoolatUTHealth Houston'sDepartment of Neurologyis seeking a Neurologist, Assistant Professor,andnon-tenure track,in our clinical division of theNeuromuscular Program.The candidate will join a busy and growing subspecialty practice and be part of a dynamic department with all neurologic subspecialties represented. Besides busy outpatient practice, we have strong electrophysiology and neuromuscular pathology programs. The group also participates in clinical trials and there are ongoing translational research efforts in inflammatory/autoimmune neuromuscular conditions. We offer an academic environment with ample opportunities for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The primary responsibility will be outpatient clinical care of patients with neuromuscular disorders. Involvement in research, teaching, or inpatient care is available depending on the candidate's interests and background.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Clinical responsibilities would includeup to five days of clinic a week. Teaching opportunities are available. The position is affiliated with McGovern Medical School, the 6th largest medical school in the nation, a robust Neurology residency program, and an ACGME-accreditedNeurophysiology/EMG Fellowshipprogram.

Qualifications:

  • ACGME-accredited neurology residency

  • Completion of relevant fellowship

  • Board-certifications

  • Licensed in the state of Texas (or eligible to be licensed).
