L3Harris in Tewkesbury and Fleet are part of our ICI division, we work closely with UK Government and Security Agencies primarily in the areas of crypto/cyber security, electronic warfare, counter drone capabilities and situation awareness projects.

The ITSO role sits within the Security Team of the EMEA Business Unit in Tewkesbury, reporting to the Security Manager and working closely with the IT Shared Services Team across the UK and beyond. Primarily running the Information Security Management System (ISMS) for EMEA, in accordance with ISO27001 Clauses and Controls, you’ll be the company’s primary contact on related matters for our key UK MoD and Government customers.

    What the role will involve

    The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Running the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with L3Harris UK Governance, Risk and Compliance (UK GRC), comprising; Policy and Process Management, Risk Assessment, Incident Management, Performance Analysis, System Auditing.

  • Support the wider team with auditing within UK IT Shared Services to ensure compliance with Security Policy Framework and Functional Standard GOVS007, ISO27001:2013/2022 and L3Harris Corporate and UK policy.

  • Monitoring of IT systems, in conjunction with the Security Analyst, and in accordance with the IS Monitoring Policy.

  • Assisting in the defining of relevant IT security controls to produce risk-based metrics for review of effectiveness at Information Security Forum meetings in support of the Information Security Management System.

  • Guiding and directing on all matters of Information Security Incident Management, ensuring Incident Management procedures are documented, maintained, reviewed, communicated and tested.

  • Providing proactive advice and information on current and emerging IT security threats to the relevant stakeholders.

    What you’ll bring

    The role of ITSO requires the following experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a commercial environment

  • Experience of certifying a business to ISO27001

  • Demonstrable experience of IT Architecture and Security within a defence environment

  • Experience of information risk management and information security

  • ISO27001 Lead Implementer, or Lead Auditor

  • CISSP or similar
