    Essential Job Duties:

Provides assistance for patients in obtaining prior authorization for referral, outpatient procedures, medications and admissions using established requirements

Maintains accurate files of referral information

Enters authorizations into computer system

Assists patients and office staff in providing accurate information regarding plan specific benefits.

Works with office personnel to ensure proper filing of claims.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Education, Training & Experience

  • Previous medical office/pre-certification experience.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Computer knowledge.

  • Previous EMR experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Must be accountable, self-directed, and possess great interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Written and verbal communication skills.
