Southeast Michigan Community Alliance, Inc Information Systems Specialist Assistant Manager in Taylor, Michigan

Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA) is recruiting talented professionals who want to contribute and make a difference in our southeast Michigan community!! SEMCA is a Michigan Works! Agency providing workforce development programs to residents in Wayne and Monroe counties, excluding the city of Detroit. Employees are permitted to work remotely three days per week and only required to perform duties in the Taylor administrative office two days a week.

 

Wage Range: $31 - $33

 

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Information Systems Specialist Assistant Manager, ensures program compliance and participant eligibility by monitoring and reporting all MIS data. This position is also responsible for inputting data when necessary.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the efforts of the Information Systems Specialist(s)
  • Verification of all program data, review for accuracy following entry in various data systems
  • Process reports for review by auditors, state monitors, and staff; review all reports for accuracy of information
  • Represent SEMCA and its interests in external and internal meetings
  • Provide training to internal and external staff on all aspects of data entry
  • Assist with creation of procedure manuals, best practices, and data entry forms for all funded programs
  • Provide technical assistance to providers as requested
  • Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all applicable state/federal, and local guidelines
  • Provide data entry support as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

     

     

     

Qualifications

All SEMCA team members are expected to be technically competent and committed to continuous development of their skills. The following skills, knowledge, and education or certifications are specifically required for this position:

  • Associate degree in business administration and five (5) years' experience or equivalent experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with Adobe form creator
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good people/communication skills
  • Must have ability to verify data input and correct errors, as well as ability to prioritize, follow through, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service

     

     

Physical Demands

Duties require sufficient mobility to work in a normal office setting and use standard office equipment including a computer, vision to read printed materials on an LCD screen and smartphone, hearing, and speech sufficient to communicate in person and over the telephone.
