Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Sr Director Business Operations in Tarrytown, New York
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Business and Administrative Officer (CBO) for the RGC, this role will be primarily responsible for the oversight of day to day operations and administration, management of cross-functional partners and deliverables in support of the group’s scienitific mission. This role is also responsible for managing the collaborations with business partners to drive iniatives and objectives that align with the RGC strategy including, finance, human resources, procurement, communication as it relates to planning, process, and delivery. In addition, this role is responsible for the management of external relationships with vendors and consultants. Works closely with the CBO to deliver on business planning, strategic and operational alignment across sub-functions and is a member of the RGC Leadership Team. The role will be responsible for facilitating and executing key business operations, finance and planning activities for the RGC.
This role will have regular interactions with or collaborate with senior management, senior scientific project teams/committees, internal business/finance/operations/human resources and communications personnel. In addition, the individual will also be responsible for managing third party external collaborators and vendors. The incumbent will be responsible for key focus areas including tactical finance and operational day-to-day tasks, budget planning and variance tracking, vendor management, regularly makes recommendations on ongoing improvement of all RGC business operations as well as strategic planning to strengthen RGC administration, operations and finances in anticipation of organizational needs.
Primary Responsibility will include working with or collaborate or team up with the RGC Leadership Team and Executive Leadership Team, Regeneron G&A functions, Strategic Partnerships & Business Operations team, RGC scientific team, Regeneron Business Development, Finance and operational colleagues in facilitating and executing key business operations, finance and strategic planning activities required to meet RGC growth plans.
A typical day as a Sr. Director might look like:
Serve as a contributing member of the RGC Leadership Team in the planning, strategy and execution of business operations objectives
Independently leads and facilitates collaborations between cross-functional teams to ensure effective, accurate, and timely communications for RGC operational and administrative activities
Develop cohesive strategy for, lead and direct the successful execution of day to day operational activities for the RGC, including operations, finance, facilities, human resources, compliance and other tasks relating to the smooth administration and operations of the RGC.
Lead and manage the RGC budget planning and forecasting process to facilitate allocation of resources to achieve scientific goals and targets.
Contribute to and partner with RGC Strategic Partnerships & Operations Planning team to ensure tactical execution of RGC Management Plan, supporting yearly goals and objectives while balancing longer term planning and strategy to optimize RGC resources and team to continue to scale and expand impact of core assets and mission.
Lead the collaboration with partner functions across REGN including finance/accounting, purchasing, compliance, facilities, human resources and other G&A functions supporting the operations of the RGC
This role might be for you if:
You have a minimum of a bachelors degree in business, strategy, etc. An MBA is a plus
Facilitate and manage RGC’s existing key vendor relationships including participating in negotiation of new vendor relationships when needed, operational pre-planning, monitoring and establishing performance metrics or standards
Establishes and fosters relationships and professional contacts with consultants and vendors
Develop strategy, propose ideas and initiatives to strengthen operational excellence across the organization. Accountable for all process improvement projects as they arise.
Coordinate and contribute to the design and execution of the RGC strategic plan in partnership with the RGC Research and Program Management group, focused on improving overall RGC performance.

Salary Range (annually)
$212,900.00 - $354,800.00
