Cummins Inc. Engine Field Service Technician - Level II in Tarkwa, Ghana

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician - Level II to join our team specializing in Service for our Field Service Department in Tarkwa, Ghana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong Diagnostic Skills: Ability to translate customer complaints into effective troubleshooting plans using specialized tools and diagnostic software to isolate and repair failed components accurately.

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the interactions between various engine systems (electrical, mechanical, exhaust, heating, cooling, etc.) and the ability to interpret service publications and measurements for efficient diagnosis and repair.

  • Repair and Maintenance Expertise: Proficiency in repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical products, following guidelines and using the required tools to ensure quality repairs and minimize customer costs.

  • Effective Escalation and Documentation: Skill in escalating technical issues appropriately, utilizing data management tools, and thoroughly documenting troubleshooting steps to ensure seamless transitions and timely resolution of customer issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

  • Locally valid driving permit

  • Basic level field service work experience

  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

  • Customer service experience

  • Knowledge of Cummins engines would be an advantage.
