Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Tasks Summary and Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the lab supervisor or team leader

  • Analyses the test requests

  • Identify the tools and accessories to perform the tests according to the SWI of the required test method.

  • Performs the tests

  • Preparation of the samples for testing.

  • Machinery programming

  • Performs the tests as per TE or Customer specifications or international specs (CEI..)

  • Collects and analyses test results

  • Synthesises all results

  • Records all observations in order to constitute the technical file in order to update the product file.

  • Responsible to the lab documentation associated to the test request

  • Writes the test reports.

  • Files the lab document into the lab data base

  • Comments and answers all questions from the test requester to report them.

  • Can propose improvement on the Lab area.

  • Insures the good working order of the test equipments

  • Identifies the equipment failure

  • Insures maintenance First Level and allowed maintenance possible.

  • Informs the personal of the lab in charge of the maintenance interface with the supplier

  • Insures 5S+1 in the Lab area.

  • Ensures a technical watch on the lab environment

  • Report to the leader about improvement on the test station

  • Checking sampling from molding department on daily basis

  • Performing of required tests on the taken samples

  • Performing of tests on incoming granulate

  • Responsibility for correct and accurate results in time

What your background should look like:

Educational Degree :

BAC or BAC+2 (BTS or DUT) in chemicals.

Professional Experience :

Beginner

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills :

Writing English

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Software’s such as Labview, Mathlab

Chemical analyses (Analytics chemistry, anorganic material – namely polymers)

Molding process

Other important things to Note :Precise, exactness, logic, Understand, analyse and synthesise one situation or some data collections. Being able to translate this in a clear way in writing or oral, self governing, curious, interested by the science.
