Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
Perform precision pump assembly and disassembly per bill of materials, cross-sectional drawings, and operation method sheets. Utilize all types of precision measuring equipment and read and interpret blueprints while working in both the English and Metric systems. Fit parts such as casings, casing covers, impellers, seals, and install piping plans to match drawings. Perform hydrostatic pressure testing of pumps, valves, seals, and pump components to ensure integrity of parts prior to final shipment. Use hand tools, air tools, sandblaster, parts washer, die grinders, and hand drills. Follow all work instructions as trained, including but not limited to assembly procedures, routers, supplemental quality inspections, general workmanship standards, etc. Install piping plans and set seals to match drawings.

Essential Skills
Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines, mechanical devices, or as a general mechanic.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and technical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic computer aptitude to use/learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office Package.
Knowledge of automation control and electrical components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
General certificate of education or vocational training.
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing environment where industrial valves, pumps, and seals are produced on a large scale to support various industries, including water, power, oil and gas, and chemical. The 1st shift runs from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The 2nd shift operates from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday to Thursday. Dress code involves appropriate attire for a manufacturing setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
