Actalent Substation P&C Engineer in Tampa, Florida
Description
Actalent is currently seeking a Mid Level Substation P&C Engineer to support their growing Substation team in Tampa, Florida. This individual will be part of a team, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of protection and control systems for high voltage substations utilizing various industry standard, in-house, and client-based software applications, while performing the design and the development of engineering packages to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop protection and control systems for substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
Perform relay settings and coordination studies.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to protection and control systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Maintain project documentation and records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (ABET-Accredited)
5+ Years of experience in P&C design and engineering
Must be proficient in the use of Substation Design Suite (SDS) and/or AutoCAD Electrical
Professional Engineering License is a plus
Knowledgeable in substation design and engineering
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $52.88
