Position Description
The Sr Manager, Maintenance and Assets Reliability will lead the NA Maintenance asset reliability process which will support the sustainment of all critical packaging & processing plant assets. The primary responsibility will be to support and provide leadership and guidance to internal maintenance teams, identified subject matter expertise within Refresco, and will support preventative maintenance optimization and standardization. This role will be standardizing and approving critical spare part vendors and sourcing in addition to standardizing OEM and internal apprenticeship training programs and rebuild strategy and support. This position will also manage the Can End Conversion Matrix Process which is supporting the NA plants as they convert ends to the most optimum vendor and material.
Essential Job Functions:
Focus will be to work closely with Sr Directors of Operations, Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers and associated teams, NA procurement, NA Engineering.
Asset management, strategy development, team leadership, performance monitoring, budget and resource management, compliance & safety, and continuous improvement are key components of this role.
Maintain a value-added relationship with key outside OEM’s and critical spare part vendors, maximizing stability and acceleration of the NA Asset Reliability Process.
Responsible for developing, scheduling, and facilitating quarterly NA Maintenance Asset Reliability Process Workshops that will set targets, drive accountability, and close critical gaps in the process.
Responsible for “leading by influence” throughout the Refresco organization.
Responsible to build on the original Asset Reliability Strategy to take full ownership of the NA Maintenance process. In addition, the development of the internal critical asset SME process for critical assets to support bench strength and sustainment.
Required Skills:
Ability to understand and lead a team toward PM optimization through evaluation of internal NAM PM’s, OEM and 3rd party data and PM’s for ultimate best practice.
Thorough understanding of SAP Maintenance (querying and archiving of visual PDF’s and applicable data sources to support the mechanic through a value-added PM process).
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization including outside vendors and service groups.
Working knowledge and experience using and managing Fiori to support PM applications.
Working knowledge of project management
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; strong critical self-review skills
Exhibits a high degree of professionalism toward all levels of the organization including outside vendors and service groups.
Ability to self-manage time and tasks and deliver results autonomously
Able to create and manage KPI’s for NAM Maintenance Asset Reliability to be reviewed monthly at a NAM, Regional, and Plant level
Assess overall current state of Asset Reliability at the NAM, Region, and Plant level
Collaborate with applicable NAM, Regional, and Plant level leaders to develop an NAM Asset Reliability Assessment, support sustainment glidepaths along with an auditing and gap closure process
Have a working knowledge of the critical line and process assets in a typical Refresco Hot, Cold, Aseptic, and Blow Mold operation.
Have a basic working relationship along with contacts for the following OEM’s – Krones, KHS, Angelus
Able to develop and maintain working relationships with key 3rd party vendors and support organizations
Ability to celebrate successes with the larger organization as applicable in an easy-to-understand format
Competencies:
Able to perform gap analysis to desired present and future states
Develop and execute NAM, Regional, and Plant level Asset Reliability Improvement plans.
Ability to create, manage, support, and improve a NAM wide Asset Reliability System
Proficient Microsoft Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint)
Education and Experience:
8 – 10 years of experience in SAP based Plant Maintenance with demonstrated results. Prefer this experience to be in the Beverage Bottling Industry.
Project management experience with demonstrated results preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing related field preferred.
Working Conditions:
Work Schedule: Able to provide support during normal working hours and off hours when working with plants
Work Environment: Temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors could affect working conditions while performing the job when working at a plant. Exposures might also include hazardous materials, or extreme heat/cold conditions.
Proper PPE must be worn when applicable
Travel Requirements:
Percentage of travel time is 50% for the position (might expand in certain critical needs situations)
Able to work weekends and extended hours at designated site when necessary
