DXC Technology Resource Manager - HCM in Tampa, Florida

  • The Resource Manager is responsible for working with practice and project management to ensure all practice resources are being staffed efficiently and effectively . The Resource Manager will be expected to participate in team building and to develop team relationships. The Resource Manager will proactively look for ways to keep all time productive and will use available time for personal training, internal projects and administrative tasks. The Resource Manager reports to someone in Practice Leadership.Key Responsibilities: •Communication of detailed resource requirements for HCM practice •Actively solicit all opportunities that are at 80%> probability or assignment start date is within 3 weeks •Coach Practice Managers (PM) or Sales Business Development (BD) on best practices related to open requirement advertisements (eg. common terminology, minimum details, advertising channels, etc.)•Proactively identify resources to present for open requirements through a variety of methods including skills searches, escalation calls with peers and management, etc. When no internal candidates available within required timeframe work with Tribridge Recruiting to leverage external sources (contractors, offshore, nearshore, etc.)•Escalate urgent requests, those with start date < 5 days, on priority staffing calls within Recruiting and practice management•Demonstrate broad and deep knowledge of consulting skill sets for all supported products and service lines•Has detailed knowledge of assigned consultants skill levels, experience, and staffing preferences•Actively monitors the selection/acceptance process for assigned resources•Pro-actively monitor the bench and recommends creative ways to utilize unassigned employees•Ensure Consultants have up-to-date resumes; identify resume quality issues and provide feedback to consultant and manager•Provide overall HCM practice reports on weekly metrics related to consultant schedules, requirements status, and consultant nomination status•Send schedule detail HCM reports to managers of each practice on a weekly basis•Proactively identify and drives resolution resourcing challenges, obstacles, conflicts and political situations•Review trends and provide managers analysis on key resourcing metrics •Upon request by practice, attend departmental events and, if necessary, give presentations regarding the resourcing process•Operate as a virtual member of the Velocity practices and participates in meetings, bench calls and forecasting calls.Minimum Requirements – Education, Skill & Abilities:•Undergraduate degree with a business or technology focus and/or equivalent experience•Minimum 5 years of resource management or related experience•Minimum 1 year experience in a consulting environment•Minimum 3 yrs experience working across various functional groups such as HR, IT, Sales, Finance, etc.•Minimum 1 year experience working in a virtual environment•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications•Valid Driver’s Licence required Preferred Requirements– Education, Skill & Abilities:•Prior working experience with SaleForce is a plus•Prior experience working with Cornerstone On Demand is a plusWorking Environment:•Home/Office Environment•Minimal travel required for company meetings and events
