BayCare Health System Residential Advocate - Northside in Tampa, Florida
BayCare is currently in search of our newest Residential Advocate who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area.
The Residential Advocate supports residents in housekeeping, basic living skills in supervised living situation.
Residential Advocate Responsibilities:
Monitors self-administration of medications and reconciles medication.
Completes admission documents, living skills assessment treatment plans/updates, monthly progress notes, activity notes, discharge documents, environmental/infection control
rounds, and monthly fire drills.
Teaches/educates residents on basic living skills, kitchen/fire safety, preparation for weather emergencies.
Assists/attends to physical maintenance/cleanliness of facility, monitors supplies.
Completes maintenance requests, fire extinguisher checks, weekly bedroom/bath or apartment inspections.
Facilitates community meetings, social activities/groups.
Supports supervisor.
Informs supervisor of unusual situations/behaviors, completes incident reporting, communication log entries/shift report notes.
Transports residents as needed.
Communicates with treatment team.
Complies with AHCA regulations/mandates.
Reports change in condition to appropriate staff for intervention or hospitalization.
Responds to emergencies according to program procedures.
Provides direct monitoring/visual contact for residents deemed a risk to self/others.
At group homes, monitors food inventory, prepares/serves meals per menu, proper food handling, documents substitutions.
Conducts chart reviews for compliance. Requirements:
Basic cooking skills.
FL Driver's License (Coverage requires drivers to be 21 years old with 2 years driving experience (drivers over 69 may require a Driver’s Road test.)
BLS (within 60 days)
First Aide (within 60 days)

Shift Hours: 6:30 am-3:00 pm or 2:30 pm-11:00 pm
Shift: Shift 1
Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
Weekend Work: Every
