Product Manager, Digital Payments - North America

The mission of the North America Digital Payments team is to bring ecosystem partners together to deliver consumers higher security, choice and peace of mind through the best payments products in the market, by a passionate team of experts.

The North America Digital Product Manager will play an integral role within Mastercard’s NAM Digital Payments team. This individual is the subject matter expert on all things digital, with a focus on building, enhancing and commercializing our network tokenization, checkout, and card provisioning products and services, in partnership with several key internal stakeholders. Additionally, this person will be responsible for leading the successful implementation and launch of these services for some of the largest financial institutions and merchants in the US, including end-to-end relationship management.

Responsibilities:

• Shape the future or digital checkout with a focus on monetization, checkout conversion and transaction success optimization.

• End-to-end product management responsibilities with a focus on the digital checkout experience and card provisioning experience.

• Bring Voice of Customer feedback to North America regional and global product management teams and ensure active dialogue and decisioning is made against the feedback.

• Partner with Global Product Management to build and enhance Mastercard’s digital capabilities.

• Establish clear merchant and issuer-facing value proposition and narratives, with accompanied sales enablement materials.

• Identify industry trends and opportunities for Mastercard to expand our reach in digital payments and further drive value for our customers and the ecosystem.

• Perform robust market landscape analysis to identify new customer segments for Mastercard to focus enablement efforts (e.g., Merchants, Payment service Providers, Processors, etc.).

• Define and build roadmap for Value-Added Services workstream, including services such as Pay with Points and Card Benefit Reinforcement within our suite of checkout products.

All About You

• Strong product management expertise with proven ability to execute highly complex projects, with multiple external and internal stakeholders.

• Experience working with and synthesizing large datasets to inform product development

• Ability to clearly articulate customer business requirements for internal sizing and development.

• Willingness and ability to effectively partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize and influence product development.

• Experience working directly with both account managers and engineers to design and launch products.

• Operates with a sense of urgency and sees problems through to resolution. Strong business acumen and excellent communication and interaction skills - ability to develop strategic points of view and lead customer-facing conversations across different levels of the organization.

• Proven ability to act as a team player and to create trust in cross-functional relationships.

• Forward thinking, with ability to develop creative approaches to solve business situations.

• Experience building/designing digital acceptance and card provisioning solutions (nice to have).

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
