Citigroup Payroll Specialist - Hybrid in Tampa, Florida

The Payroll Specialist performs relatively complex assignments. Has direct impact on the business by ensuring the quality of the tasks or services provided. Works under little to no direct supervision. May service an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services. Applies working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts and in depth knowledge of team objectives. Understands how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function. Ensures the quality and service of self and others. May recommend new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines. Requires tact and diplomacy when exchanging complex or sensitive information with others. Is sensitive to audience diversity. Basic knowledge of the organization, the business and its policies required. Typically responsible for resolving basic to moderately complex problems based on practice and precedence. Able to assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • The Payroll Specialist will support assigned system and process transactions for monthly payrolls and follows established process flows developed for all job transactions.

  • Follow established procedures to complete complex assignments and resolve problems that require in-depth investigation or research

  • Provide team assistance, including serving as subject matter expert, leading special projects, training new hires within work unit, providing daily guidance to lower-level employees, and allocation of work, as needed

  • Conduct basic analysis and research as well as workflow management

  • Support an expansive array of products and services

  • Communicate pertinent information to senior managers and support activities that help mitigate organizational loss or impact, as needed

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Run and balance payroll integrations on Workday and Full suite system.

  • Process manual journal entries on different ledger systems.

  • Perform ledger reconciliation on daily and monthly basis.

  • Assist with Year-end testing process.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience

  • Experience working in a business office or operational environment

  • Proficient computer and math skills with a focus on complex databases and spreadsheets (VLOOKUP’s and formulas)

  • Demonstrates technical and administrative expertise

  • Consistently demonstrates attention to detail

  • Demonstrated knowledge of activities, policies, and procedures of a basic work area

  • Proficient with reconciliation and balancing on Excel (formulas and Pivots)

  • General ledger Knowledge

Education:

  • Accounting Degree or equivalent work experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$43,960.00 - $57,340.00
