HRST User Experience Designer

Role description

The HR Strategy and Transformation User Experience (UX) Team takes a human-centered design approach to designing user-friendly and connected digital experiences to create a unified, personalized, and intuitive talent user experience for Deloitte professionals. As Talent identifies opportunities to transform the way we deliver services, technology solutions will need to be implemented or updated to provide a seamless experience to our professionals and to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness improvements across Talent.

We are looking for a driven and creative UX Designer to design the future of talent user experiences, bringing industry best practices to create an intuitive and delightful talent user experience. The UX Designer is passionate about solving difficult problems in a collaborative team-based setting and creating intuitive, efficient, and useful solutions to solve user problems. You'll work alongside our Talent teams and business partners to understand user needs, generate ideas to solve problems, design solutions in coordination with product teams, and test those solutions with users. You'll align these designs with our HRST UX strategies and vision for the talent user experience.

Work you'll do

As the UX Designer, you will:

  • Conduct user research through attending process and system design sessions, conducting interviews, observations, and other research methods

  • Identify and analyze user pain points to identify solutions

  • Iterate on Talent Transformation personas in alignment with our Organizational Change Management team as needed

  • Create user journey maps to define the future state user experience

  • Think strategically and align user experiences with overall HRST UX strategies and principles

  • Work alongside product development teams to design user interactions, user interfaces, and user flows through wireframing, prototyping, and/or collaborative design efforts

  • Design and conduct usability and user tests to validate designs and identify opportunities

  • Eye for visual design to guide product development teams to design systems that align to brand standards

  • Contribute to key Transformation deliverables by bringing a hands-on, creative, and solution-oriented point-of-view

  • Perform other role-related duties as assigned

The HR Strategy and Transformation team aspires to reimagine how Talent fuels our Deloitte businesses through innovative, customer-centric, digitally enabled talent services.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Experience across the entire product lifecycle

  • Experience in UX design and working knowledge of usability testing principles, interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, and visual design

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Word, Teams)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Travel up to 5% (While 5% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)"

Preferred:

  • Experience designing and implementing large, complex software platforms and/or applications

  • Experience creating and applying design systems

  • Experience in designing accessible solutions is desired

  • Ability to problem solve using a consultative approach with an eye for detail

  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks
