Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. GCC - Purchasing Production Planner in Tampa, Florida

The Purchasing Production Planner is a hybrid Buyer/Planner position dedicated to supporting GCC’s major accounts. The Purchasing Production Planner shall review and respond to daily/weekly planning requirements for all assigned accounts, including, but not limited to, the Coulter Planning Report and the Coulter in-bound KanBan schedule, with focus on the long-term planning of all material items, MRP, and KanBan. This position helps balance the Coulter demand with GCC supply, while complying with GCC Purchasing and Inventory policies.

Specific duties responsibilities and authorities may include:

Use custom Excel spreadsheets to complete the following:

o Create and update the GCC Coulter Shortage Report daily.

o Enter, maintain, print and file customer orders in GCC’s system.

o Request and record a Salesman’s assistance with new customer Purchase Orders from Coulter to GCC.

o Respond to daily inquiries from assigned accounts, the Strategic Account Manager, as well as others inquires.

o Maintain, acknowledge, and expedite GCC’s Purchase Orders to the factory.

  • Research and correct GCC’s Purchase Order errors, receiving errors, pricing errors, etc.

  • Maintain Inventory Control numbers with all associated information, notes, assemblies, etc.

  • Plan, enter, and control Production Orders for the KanBan delivery and the Build-for-Stock program.

  • Run and review weekly Reorder Reports to close the loop on all demands and changes in P-21 from the week’s processing.

  • Assist with inventory discrepancies found during the processing of orders or cycle counting of inventory.

  • Processes all requests for RGAs from assigned accounts.

  • Maintain the RGA log used for tracking RGA material from the customer, through GCC processing/return for repair, and back to the customer.

  • Review and release CAE Production Orders using the GCC CAE P-Lab #2 program.

  • Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program, to conform to ISO 9001 requirements and understand the implications of not conforming with the Quality Management System.

  • Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • AA degree, bachelor’s degree preferred with focus towards business or supply chain or inventory management.

  • Experience accepted in lieu of education.

Desired Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Three to five (3-5) years of inventory planning experience with MRP enterprise business software, project or office management experience.

  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Working skill in clerical work.

  • Working knowledge of job-tracking software.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, teamwork, and customer interfacing skills.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to formulate and document a high-level plan with input from many functional groups.

  • Ability to communicate ideas persuasively, gain support and commitment from others, inspire others to take action, and lead by example.

  • Ability to maintain positive interactions with staff and management.

  • Ability to work under pressure of schedules.

  • Able to stand, walk, sit, and bend 8-10 hours per day.

  • Occasional exposure to a production environment.

  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
