Citigroup Director KYC Project Senior Group Manager in Tampa, Florida

We are seeking a highly experienced program manager with a strong background in financial services to lead complex project portfolio within our organization. The Program Senior Group Manager will partner across different departments and drive significant change as part of the KYC Simplification program.

This leadership role will support the delivery of the group’s strategic programs and projects, as well as keeping senior clients and stakeholders informed on day-to-day project status. This is achieved through driving activities to meet strategic organizational goals and managing the many tasks that are critical to the efficient and effective operation of the application support function. The ideal candidate will have thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant parts of the business and will be responsible for ensuring effective oversight and governance across the entire portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses.

  • Prioritize and plan portfolio of meaningful initiatives across businesses, in collaboration with senior leadership, reengineering partners, and corporate support if/when applicable; includes development of reengineering project funnel & individual project scoping.

  • Secures initiatives/project sponsorship from senior leadership, and facilitates resolution of differences between various sponsors, and stakeholders, over prioritization and timely execution of simplification/automation initiatives; effectively promotes the need for reengineering and persuades senior leadership around agreement and support of required change.

  • Impactful project management for successful delivery of key strategic requirements. Responsibilities and priorities will reflect the needs of specific workstreams and will evolve over time

  • Builds and manages relationships with key stakeholders, organizations and business heads.

  • Identifies and drives resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.

  • Collaborates with Senior Management on cross functional areas and other programs, as appropriate.

  • Manages the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, to escalate and resolve on a timely basis.

  • Manages the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.

  • Manage internal and external dependencies, including working closely with stakeholders in risk, lines of business, operations, technology and data.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience preferably in financial services

  • Demonstrate a consistent track record having worked as a Program or Project Manager, Lead, PMO or department head, managing teams and large, strategic cross-functional projects.

  • Previous program/project management, consulting, technology and/or management.

  • Executive communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence others.

  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions. Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail.

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Appropriate industry knowledge, including KYC is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience

  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP are a plus

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
