Citigroup Credit Portf Intmd Analyst - C11 (Hybrid) in Tampa, Florida

The primary focus of the position is the creation and on-going maintenance of credit facility and Obligor data for Counterparties in default. The position requires retrieval of data from various systemic and paper based sources for consolidation and input into one proprietary in-house application. This job calls for extensive interaction with internal Risk Management representatives as well as other areas of the firm. The Credit Portfolio Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role, and will deal with most problems independently while having some latitude to solve complex problems. This position involves integrating in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practice, along with a good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. The successful candidate will apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies, and the position requires attention to detail when making professional judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. The Analyst will typically deal with variable issues with potentially broader business impact, breaking down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. The role has a moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities, as quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve from CitiRisk the Relationship/Obligor Summary Report for the proposed default entity

  • Contact the Senior Risk Manager for the Obligor to seek confirmation or rejection of default triggers

  • Perform monthly review of entries (Write-off, Recovery, Cost of Loan Sale) found within the Finance Cost of Credit report

  • Perform monthly review of potential resolved BASEL default Obligors

  • Retrieve from CitiRisk the Relationship/Obligor Summary Report for the proposed resolved entity

  • Verify facility characteristics (facility amount, outstanding, Risk Rating, Classification)

  • Contact the Senior Risk Manager for the Obligor to seek confirmation or rejection of resolution

  • If resolved, using various internal source systems, create a cash flows for facilities, including payments, write-offs, recoveries, Cost of loan sales

  • Review the Cash flow with the Senior Risk Manager

  • Coordinates and drives Internal Control responsibilities across the various control disciplines focusing on Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting responsibilities across the Risk organization.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;

  • Prepares special reports as needed that are not readily available to the users by using the query tools available.

  • Works with other team members if required to provide efficient and timely results

  • Develops, analyzes and interprets the data from the risk systems, making comparable analyses, recommending options and courses of action;

  • Works closely with other parties such as technology when required to resolve issues.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in financial analysis, accounting and valuation

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

$69,050.00 - $96,350.00
