Job Description: Governance of Tier 1 Regulations, VP

Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

The VP for Governance of CBNA-aligned regulations is an experienced regulatory professional who has the skills to interpret, develop policy documents and design controls for certain Tier 1 regulations, with a focus on regulations pertaining to Confidential Supervisory Information. The individual will work in the first line of defense within CBNA's Head Office and should be an attorney or a compliance professional with deep experience in US regulations in particular regulations pertaining to Confidential Supervisory Information. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills required in order to negotiate internally, across various levels of the firm. The role-holder will heavily contribute to the technical strategy of the Tier 1 regulation function within CBNA Head Office as it relates to compliance with Confidential Supervisory Information regulation.

Responsibilities:

  • High performing, analytical, AVP/VP sought for a varied role in the Tier 1 Regulation Team in CBNA Head Office. This team provide the governance and oversight of various permissibility and risk management related regulations e.g. OCC Heightened Standards, Safety and Soundness Standards, Bank Holding Company/Financial Holding Company permissible activities, Corporate Activities of National Banks and National Banks: Activities and Operations.

  • The ideal candidate, would have an excellent knowledge of CRC and MCA, be detailed-oriented, have proficient excel skills and be able to analyse large amounts of Risk Data.

  • The role will at a high level, entail looking at various controls, metrics and governance aligned to Tier 1 regulations and leading an exercise document and maintain an appropriate view.

  • The role will specifically entail:

  • Owning and tracking the mapping of appropriate controls and un-mapping of extraneous controls

  • Liaising confidently will stakeholders at all levels to gain any final sign offs needed to amend which controls are mapped/not

  • Communicating regularly and clearly on the progress of mapping ‘clean up’ re controls

  • Identifying and confirming with stakeholders the relevant governance forums to the CBNA aligned Tier 1 Regulations

  • Identifying and confirming with stakeholders the relevant metrics relevant to the CBNA aligned Tier 1 Regulations

  • The ability to produce high-quality powerpoint slides would be a bonus.

  • Candidates from an Audit, Compliance or Operational Risk background are specifically invited to apply

  • The very varied nature of this role, means that the successful analytical candidate will get excellent exposure to a variety of Tier 1 Regulations

  • 10+ years experience banking is strongly preferred.

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
