This position requires clinical experience and will serve as the regional subject matter expert to assist the team with substance use disorder licensing and Baker Act designations. We have one position to fill, and the position can be located anywhere in the SunCoast Region which serves Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Sarasota counties. This is a full time Career Service position. Responsible for monitoring, licensing and evaluating substance use disorder prevention, intervention and treatment programs per licensing standards; Chapter 397 F.S. and 65D-30 FAC. Responsible for implementing policies and procedures for the Office of Licensing. Monitors service providers and licenses substance use disorder programs as assigned by the Regional Licensing Manager in accordance with established guidelines. Identify any corrective actions plans needed due to violations of administrative code or statute. Input applications, fees, complaints, fines, inspections, corrective action plans and any other necessary information into the Department’s official system.
Assist providers with applications for Baker Act Receiving Facilities to be designated by the Department. Assist in monitoring receiving facilities per designation standards in Chapter 394 F.S. and 65E-5 FAC. Provide findings for inclusion on designation reports and plans.
Represent the Department in community meetings, work groups and forums related to substance use disorder licensing and designation issues.
Review results of incident reporting, fatality reviews and continuous quality improvement reports, grievance/appeals and use this information initiate regional improvements.
Follow up on complaints/tracker assignments and services as received.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Office of Licensing leadership team.
