Must have the following to apply:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have two (2+)years of experience as a Carpenter
  • Experience working within a commercial or industrial setting is preferred
  • Minor plumbing experience is a plus
  • Ability to read a tape measure to the 32nd of an inch
  • Ability to safely use a table saw, band saw, planer, lathe, and router
  • Ability to hand doors, install floors, set docks, build stairs, build temporary covers of various sizes and shapes, work in confined spaces, operate a pneumatic nail gun, listen and take instructions, receive constructive feedback and work with others
  • Must have regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • A familiarization with nautical terms is preferred

Job Description:

The company is looking for an experienced Carpenter. The Carpenter will be responsible for cutting, fabricating, installing, and/or repairing a variety of wood structures and furnishings in mobile homes. Offices, standard office buildings, and tugboats. Must know how to install windows, joiner panels, flooring, and custom trim work. Must have the ability to run a small team with limited supervision.

  • Repair structural woodwork and replace defective parts and equipment using hand and power tools
  • Construct floors, doors, and partitions using woodworking machines, hand tools, and power tools
  • Transfer dimensions or measurements of wood parts or bulkhead on plywood or other material, using measuring instruments
  • Layout and align material in accordance with specifications
  • Measure and cut materials to determine conformance to specifications
  • Install permanent and temporary ladders and handrails
  • Comply with company, Federal, State, and local safety, ethics, and environmental rules, regulations, and policies while performing duties
  • Accountable for completion of daily work assignments
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Days and Hours:
