Citigroup AVP Workday Payroll Sr Business Analyst in Tampa, Florida

The Payroll Sr Analyst is a seasoned Workday payroll subject matter expert. Applies in-depth knowledge, contributing to the development of process improvement opportunities, documentation of specifications, workflow, and testing of regulatory changes and configuration changes. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a Workday Payroll environment.

Requires in-depth understanding of how payroll integrates with vendor payroll providers. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits' Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • The Payroll Sr Analyst performs business analysis support for an HR and Payroll operations organization; Creates and manages the documentation of internal payroll process and business requirements.

  • Serves as subject matter expert for Workday payroll processes and procedures.

  • Supports payroll operations globally with Workday issues and opportunities including, EIBs, PECI Files, Integrations, Reports.

  • Responsible for testing of Workday Releases, Configuration Changes, Reports, and developed integrations.

  • Creates and manages the documentation of internal procedures and business requirements; manages the business analysis and documentation of Workday system change specifications; and implementation of user application test plans.

  • Executes test plans and identifies and documents discrepancies found through the ability to accurately assess output against expected results; Resolves discrepancies with technical and/or business personnel, communicates issues and results clearly, and retests as required.

  • Works with process owners to stage Workday testing scenarios aligned with system changes.

  • Creates and run data verification reports utilizing queries.

  • Interacts with customers on production and project support.

  • Provides support to payroll operations sharing Workday best practices and process improvement.

  • Plans and execute complex projects and coordinate over a broader departmental spectrum. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within Global Payroll Service Transformation Team.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience with Workday Payroll

  • Workday system testing experience.

  • Advanced Analytical skills using Excel

  • Experience with other automation solutions i.e., ServiceNow, Tableau, Workflow Software, DocuSign, Robotics, AI.

  • Demonstrated execution capabilities

  • In-depth understanding and knowledge payroll operations.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$70,720.00 - $106,080.00
