Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in Tampa, Florida
Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing AP responsibilities for the downstream contracts team. This includes ensuring vendors are correctly set up in the system and coordinating that accounts are in good standing. The specialist will manage the branch invoice email inbox, upload invoices into Viewpoint, and handle the entry and verification of invoices related to assigned purchase orders and proper general ledger coding. Additionally, the role involves assisting in preparing purchase agreements, subcontracts, and other contracts as required, reconciling vendor statements to open payable reports monthly, and monitoring the status of all pending contracts. The specialist will also organize and track all fully executed agreements, collect necessary compliance documents from vendors and customers, analyze proposed changes to terms and conditions, and coordinate approvals by branch management and legal departments.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Tampa, Florida and some days remote.
Work Environment
In-office during initial training for 1-2 months, then transitioning to a hybrid role with 3 days in-office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and work from home on Monday and Friday. Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
