Neptune Technology Group Mechanical Designer I - MECHA017317 in Tallassee, Alabama

Position Summary

Neptune provides a modern, state of the art RandD facility for the development and support of metering and Wireless remote meter reading systems. The Designer I functions as a part of multi-functional teams in the creation of new products and support of existing ones. They assist designers in the Research and Development Department with the design, development, and support of metering and wireless remote meter reading products. This entails the use of computers and related CAD systems to design and document products or product changes. In addition, the Designer I is expected to provide summaries of documentation and reports on work performed. The Designer I works with experienced designers as needed for the generation of CAD drawings, 3D models and other documents. This position may require some hands-on work in the department or one of the related labs.

Objectives: This role supports product development by creating and altering 3D solid models and associated engineering drawings while managing the Engineering Change and Release process.

Requirements:

Education/Experience: 2 year technical/trade degree in Drafting or currently enrolled in the same.
