    SALARY RANGE

    $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annually $2,500.00 - $2,884.62 Bi-weekly

    Position Summary

    This is an advanced professional work supervising and directing employees. The primary duty of the incumbent in this position is to spend most of their time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, planning, and directing their work; and having the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees to effectively recommend such actions. Evaluates employees against established standards and takes any necessary steps for corrective action.

    The Work You Will Do

  • Supervising a unit that performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the purchase of general consumables and supplies for assigned offices/units.

  • Develops purchasing policies and procedures for the Agency.

  • Training direct reports and Agency employees on the purchasing policies and rules.

  • Monitoring purchasing trends in assigned areas to ensure cost effectiveness, reliability, and quality products.

  • Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities.

  • Assist in monitoring vendor performance.

  • Ensuring Purchase Orders are processed and/or renewed within an acceptable established timeframe.

  • Develops and maintain professional knowledge of the purchasing field and assigned areas and ensures compliance with the State Purchasing policies and procedures, procurement rules, and Florida Statutes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of a four-year degree from an accredited college or university AND three years of professional purchasing experience, contract management, project management, or related field experience.

  • Related professional experience can substitute on a year- for- year basis for the college degree.

  • Prior supervisory or management experience.

  • Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM)

  • Florida Certified Contract Negotiator (FCCN)

  • E-Sourcing experience

  • Experience using MyFloridaMarketPlace.

    Direct Deposit Program

    As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

    Background Screening Requirement

    It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.

Level 2 background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for Statewide criminal and juvenile records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and Federal criminal records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation and may include local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies.

Pursuant to S. 110.1127(1), Florida Statutes, this position requires a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
