Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Tallahassee, Florida

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking to hire a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of electrical work. This position will require the troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment and automated machinery. The role involves removal, installation, inspection, repair or replacement of mechanical components on a variety of production and facility equipment, including complex systems. Additionally, you will be expected to monitor, diagnose, modify and repair all types of production and facility electrical and electronic equipment. Familiarity with PLC control system troubleshooting is a plus, along with a thorough understanding of plant utility and production equipment layout and operating parameters.

Hard Skills

  • Removal, installation, inspection, repair or replacement of mechanical components

  • Monitoring, diagnosing, modifying and repairing electrical and electronic equipment

  • Design and installation of circuitry in new equipment

  • Use of test equipment, hand and power tools

  • Interpretation of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Knowledge of National Electric Code

  • PLC control system troubleshooting

  • Understanding of OSHA standards and requirements

Soft Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Ability to work closely with both the maintenance team and engineering team as well as plant operators

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Tallahassee, FL,

Work Environment

The majority of the work will be on the plant floor in a climate controlled facility. The working hours for the 3rd shift are 10:30PM - 6:30AM, Monday - Friday (Must be able to work OT on weekends)
