Senior Principal Product Development Manager – Special Vehicles Team - Experience Innovation Group
Dell’s Special Vehicles Team (SVT), part of the Experience Innovation Group in Dell’s Client Solutions Group, is seeking a skilled Development Manager to work directly and cross-functionally with technologists, extended engineering and product core team members to bring innovation concepts to life. SVT is responsible for delivering technology demonstrations, proof of concepts, advancing Dell’s leadership in Innovation. This specialized team brings together experts in multiple development disciplines to introduce innovative solutions and advance technology development for our customers.

What you’ll achieve
The SVT Development Manager in Taipei, will be responsible for managing and driving the investigation and incubation of new technology and form factor experiences, with cross functional technologists and internal and external partners.
You will:
Manages a matrixed engineering team and leads evaluation of new technology and hardware form factors, proof of concepts, ingredient identification and development with technologists and partners. Evaluates technical options and represents business requirements to the engineering organization through responses to the market requirement documents and detailed functional specifications.
Acts as primary point of contact and coordinates Development and Test resources to successfully release new concepts on time and within budget. Provides daily direction and tasking of a team of hardware and system engineers. Consolidates all of the engineering SOWs for RFQ.
Develops the engineering schedule in coordination with the engineering extended teams and Core Team. Determines and manages the engineering budget.
Develops the prototype build plan in coordination with the engineering extended teams.
Guides the activities of the ODM, coordinates the build and allocation of prototype systems. Drives the initial triage, debug, and resolution of engineering defects.

Essential Requirements
Proven track record of end-to-end system hardware and solution development from concept to mass production (incl. architecture definition, design, production, support, de-bug, etc.).
Cross-functional knowledge of consumer electronics engineering development areas relation to user experience and industrial design. Engineering discipline and rigor.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required.
Ability to present technical content and share information to key stakeholders.
Team player with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams, internal and external to the organization.
Desirable Requirements
Demonstrate creativity and adapt quickly with technical agility to high dynamic environments and new technical areas.
Enthusiastic, motivated and self-driven. Ability to work independently and manage deliverables.
