Abbott Senior Financial Accounting Manager in Taguig City, Philippines

PRIMARY OBJECTIV E

  • Ensure effective management of Treasury, Receivables and Risk in accordance with Corporate policies and Corporate Governance and identify risks and opportunities

  • Monitor integrity of financials (e.g. governance, SEC regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley).

  • Ensure that adequate internal financial controls and administrative procedures are maintained for all Divisions at the affiliate.

  • Provide financial reporting support to all Guest divisions

  • Provide leadership and build, maintain and develop finance organization

REQUIREMENT

  • Financial/Accounting tertiary qualification

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • Masteral Degree Preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience in relevant role.

  • Experience in leading a team of finance professionals

  • Multi-national exposure is preferred

  • External Auditing experience from Big 5 Auditing Firms is preferred

Skills

  • Analytical & Detail Oriented

  • Strong computer knowledge on Microsoft application e.g. excel, power point and word

  • Self motivated with the energy and ability to take the initiative on relevant issues

  • Ability to work successfully within a matrix organization and negotiate and prioritize requirements with management, both regional and domestic

  • Good command of English

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage receivables and claims, ensuring prompt collection of funds and provision for collection risks.

  • Inventory and Fixed Assets management which includes overseeing calculation of Standard Unit Cost, Landed Cost and corresponding variances, Other Manufacturing Costs, Risk Provisions and Fixed Assets verification.

  • Ensure Revenue Recognition as per standard is properly implemented.

  • Reviews all relevant accounting entries in the Journal Voucher and Trial Balance every month to ensure all entries are correct.

  • Ensures that all company properties are properly valued and covered by insurance to comply with corporate policy on property insurance coverage.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of local policies and procedures and ensure adherence to such as approved by Affiliate Finance Director.

  • Develop and lead a high performance financial workforce through effective implementation of talent acquisition and retention programs;

  • Other relevant tasks that will be assigned from time to time.
