Stella Jones Corporation Senior Accounting Clerk - FAA - 2112 in Tacoma, Washington
POSITION SUMMARY Stella-Jones, a market leader of pressure treated wood products in North America, is seeking a qualified Accounting Clerk in our Tacoma office. The individual will support our Freight Accumulation Account (FAA) reporting and be a key contributor in the company's implementation of SAP S/4 Hana for the FAA Process. Position works closely with business partners in the Sales and Transportation departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting for our customers. The position provides a great opportunity to be a part of a digital transformation at Stella-Jones and will have opportunities to assist with process design, optics and reporting. Principal Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify freight costs on vendor invoices associated with customer FAA.
- Efficiently enter data into legacy system for all applicable freight expenses.
- Audit information presented in SAP S/4 for accuracy prior to utilizing for reporting.
- Compile Customer reports in Microsoft Excel monthly to identify and analyze the changes in account balances.
- Provide analysis to partners on unexpected changes, determining causation from quarterly data.
- Works closely with business partners to review trends and accurately budget for future pricing changes.
- Compile, sort, and properly file documents, such as invoices and shipping documents, substantiating business transactions.
- Monitor market trends for freight costs to properly budget for future rate increases.
- Corresponds with vendors, conducts investigations and brings complex discrepancies to resolution.
- Extracts general ledger information.
- Works against strict monthly deadlines to provide complete and accurate information to partners.
- Reconciles report discrepancies and problems.
- Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
- Maintains awareness of all activities and issues that could impact daily operations and service levels.
- Participates and contributes to company safety program
- Special tasks as assigned and participate in projects as needed.
- Maintains Company and employee confidence by keeping information confidential.
