Burkhart Sales Program Manager - Special Markets in Tacoma, Washington

If so, we’d like to connect with you! We are looking for a Sales Program Manager in Special Markets based out of our corporate office in Tacoma, WA.

Purpose…The Special Markets Sales Program Manager is responsible for operational program management of the Special Markets program. In this role, you will develop and maintain the operational aspects of the program, building systems, processes and programs to leverage the services and support available to provide Special Markets clients a package deal. This is a hands-on role with specific deliverables that requires a project manager who can build a large, multifaceted sales program from the ground up. Duties will include resource planning, tracking program development against defined requirements, identifying and facilitating systems/processes development, and communication regarding status. Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of business objectives, the ability to plan resources and keep internal/external stakeholders organized, and exceptional communication skills. The goal is to build the Special Markets program in such a way as to develop consistency, profitability, and to make it easy for Special Markets clients to work with Burkhart.

What you’ll be doing…

  • ACT AS A PROJECT MANAGER to build a large, multi-faceted sales program for Special Markets, a specific segment of Burkhart’s business focused on long-term relationship management for large purchasing groups.

  • MANAGE SPECIAL MARKETS PROGRAM by leading the Special Markets segment vision, while working hands-on on the tasks needed to make the vision real.

  • BRING ALL STAKEHOLDERS TOGETHER to ensure program is successfully built. This includes working closely with Purchasing, IT, Accounting, Customer Service, Legal, and Sales.

  • INFORM AND GUIDE TECHNICAL RESOURCES to achieve business/customer goals for program.

  • STRIVE FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT and offers ideas on how to improve processes while supporting business goals and client needs.

  • CONTRIBUTE TO BURKHART’S SUCCESS by modeling the Burkhart culture to clients and team members, accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.

    What you’ll need…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience maintaining a client relationship in the Dental, Medical, or Consumable Supply Industry.

  • Demonstrated success in building a sales program from the ground up.

  • 3 years of prior experience in project coordination and/or management.

  • The associate must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel by car and plane to meetings and events.

    Preferred Education and/or Experience…

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Project Management Certification.

    The starting salary range for this position is: $115,000 - $130,000 annually.
