FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Day Position Summary The Pharmacist Ambulatory Oncology is an exciting professional opportunity to be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to the prevention and treatment of cancer. This position is designed to focus on oral anticancer therapies, their toxicities, and management. Responsibilities You will assess and review the selection of evidence-based and therapeutically appropriate anticancer therapies You will review pathology reports, laboratory values, and concurrent medications for appropriateness and potential medication-related problems. You will assess, monitor, and manage anticancer therapy adverse reactions or toxicities. You will assess and monitor primary and secondary supportive care elements for inclusion in anticancer therapy protocols You will serve as a subject matter expert for medication related questions as well as precept pharmacy and medical students or residents. You will provide patient and caregiver education on anticancer therapy, supportive care medications, symptom management, and adherence as well as safe medication handling, administration, and disposal You will collaborate with clinic staff to connect patients with MultiCare Specialty Pharmacy resources. Requirements Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington; If not currently licensed in Washington, must receive Washington State Pharmacist License within 90 days from date of employment Two (2) years of experience as a pharmacist in an oncology setting (required) Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 Residency (preferred) Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology (preferred) BCOP (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) certification (preferred) Our Values As a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness and Joy. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $150,134.00 - $196,186.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
