As the Safety Coordinator, you will immerse in a variety of tasks to support, reinforce, and maintain a high level of safety within the warehouse. Daily duties will include, but not limited to: Serve as designated safety representative of assigned manufacturing site, coordinating and implementing all areas of the Tempur Sealy Safety Program as directed by site leadership and the Regional Safety Manager Influence behavior and inspire commitment on the part of all personnel in complying with Tempur Sealy safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment Conduct training and coach associates on observed work habits in support of this effort Support Management's efforts to ensure compliance with corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal and state law. Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and improvement opportunities through the conduct of daily, weekly and monthly audits. Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly metrics reporting to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting system Maintain required paperwork to comply with Tempur Sealy standards Perform Safety Observations and Audits and specific Safety Training as required by the Regional Safety Manager These duties are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties or responsibilities associated with this job. Candidate qualities we are looking for: High School diploma or equivalent Experienced in emergency response and be able to maintain current First Aid and CPR certificates Excellent communication skills - speaking, reading, writing and listening Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel Ability to perform duties with minimal oversight Detail orientated and organized Qualifications: Strong communication, influence, teamwork, analysis, judgment, customer focus skills and the ability to train groups of associates. Acquire OSHA 30-hour certification within 90 days of hire. Ability and success with analyzing incident data and creating meaningful actions with lasting results.
