Description Pay Scale Range Starting $21.00 12 - Months $23.00 24 - Months $25.00 36 - Months $27.00 48 - Months $29.00 60 - Months $32.76 Retention Bonus $250.00 after 3 months of employment $750.00 after 12 months of employment Summary Receive and process incoming materials and supplies and prepare product for shipment in support of company operations. Monitor quality of incoming materials and perform advanced receiving functions, such as material acceptance using QA delegation authority. Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient consolidation, loading and shipment of product to customers and/or other facilities. Able to work in a warehouse environment that can be dry, refrigerated, and freezing as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Receiving/Material Control Functions Check goods received against pack lists, purchase orders, and certifications. Act as Quality Assurance certified delegate, input received material into inventory management system and ensure raw materials are identified per company specifications for production use. Update daily receiving logs and review material inventory levels. Inspect delivery Certification of Analysis and submit raw material test requests. Maintain Quality Assurance database and log in and label Quality Assurance accepted raw materials. Stack material on skids, if needed, in the course of the job. Operate hand held scanners and any other standard manual equipment or operating systems needed for the assigned job. Prepare shipments to customers while working in extreme environments. All other duties as assigned. Shipping/Packing Functions Assemble orders, check against shipping or customer orders, and report discrepancies or incomplete orders. Select appropriate shipping containers and packing material. Operate standard manual and automatic equipment and operating systems. Stack material on skids and take to the shipping dock. Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient consolidation, loading and shipping of products to customers and/or other facilities. Prepare and coordinate shipments of hazardous material for transit in accordance with state and federal regulations. Perform cycle counts on packaging material to ensure sufficient quantities are on hand to support production schedule. Prepare paperwork and coordinate return to vendor shipments. Produce shipping and receiving reports as requested. Maintain clean warehouse and safe work practices while supporting company goal of zero accidents. Skills and Specifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Possess a good knowledge of inventory control and documentation techniques and procedures. Ability to utilize/operate a computer, peripheral equipment and appropriate software, such as Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to set priorities. Ability to multi-task Ability to self-motivate and take initiative. Knowledge of record keeping techniques and procedures. Ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to develop working relationships with other departments and outside contacts. Ability to work well with diverse personalities. Ability to work in a cold/freezer environment. Ability to achieve Hazardous Material Handling, Forklift, and Out time certifications and QA delegation authority stamp, within 90 days of employment and maintain certifications on an ongoing basis. Education and Qualifications High school degree or GED required. Two plus years' experience handling material preferred. One-year experience operating forklifts, preferred.
