Aerotek Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Tacoma, Washington
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the plant manager or other supervisor. This includes installing, adjusting, and repairing production equipment and special purpose machines. You will operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned. Additionally, you will be testing malfunctioning machinery, troubleshooting, determining necessary repairs, and coordinating with the plant supervisor for approval. The replacement of faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards also falls within your purview. Observing mechanical devices and equipment and listening to their sounds to determine proper functioning or identify causes of trouble is another key aspect of your role. Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a contract duration of 21 weeks until direct hire.

This is a fully on-site day shift position in Frederickson, Washington.
