West Sound Workforce is partnering with a leading non-profit behavioral health facility to find a capable temporary HR Assistant to support the HR Department. In this uplifting and collaborative environment, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team committed to providing essential services to the community. The state-of-the-art facility serves as a beacon of hope, addressing critical behavioral health needs.
As a temporary HR Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the success and efficiency of the work environment by utilizing your excellent communication skills. A successful candidate will have solid computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office products, and the ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems. In this role, you will prepare reports related to HR projects, support recruitment efforts, and help implement best practices with confidence and adaptability.
Shift information:
- Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm
What you will do as temporary HR Assistant:
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR files, records, and documentation, ensuring compliance through periodic audits
- Provide clerical support and respond to routine inquiries from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, and hiring processes, referring complex matters to senior HR staff
- Assist with payroll functions, including processing, addressing employee questions, resolving errors, and distributing checks
- Support HR initiatives such as new hire orientation, benefits enrollment, and employee events, while acting as a liaison with external benefits providers
- Contribute to the planning and execution of special events, including organization-wide meetings, recognition events, and holiday celebrations
What we are looking for:
- Associate's degree in a related field required, with prior office experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations professionally and diplomatically
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn HRIS, payroll systems, and similar applications
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact and professionalism in all interactions
