Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Tacoma, Washington
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist for our team located in Tacoma, Washington. This role is in the insurance industry and involves working in a hybrid environment, with initial weeks of training being fully onsite. The employment type for this role is short-term contract.
Responsibilities:
• Processing approximately 120 invoices per week
• Handling and tracking customer accommodations
• Managing split commission payments
• Reviewing and processing staff expense reimbursements
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of reviews and payments
• Making payments from our accounting system
• Communicating effectively with vendors and coworkers
• Receiving payable invoices and statements and properly filing them into the e-filing system
• Reviewing payable invoices and statements against their matching invoices in the accounting system
• Reviewing and processing vendor payments where the expense is taken from revenue on accounts
• Reviewing and processing client-related check requests Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems.
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is necessary.
• Auditing skills are essential.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations.
• Ability to Maintain Vendor Files effectively.
