Job Summary:
The Design Director - NEOM HQ will be a highly experienced and results-oriented professional responsible for leading and managing all aspects of architectural and design excellence for the NEOM Headquarters complex. This role requires a deep understanding of contemporary architectural principles, a strong design vision, and exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee the overall design vision for the NEOM Headquarters complex, ensuring it reflects the innovative and aspirational goals of NEOM.
Lead and manage a team of architects, designers, and other design professionals.
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, urban planners, and other consultants, to ensure the integrated design and delivery of the project.
Oversee the development of design concepts, schematics, and construction documents for all aspects of the NEOM Headquarters complex.
Ensure the highest standards of architectural and design excellence are achieved throughout the project.
Promote innovation and sustainability in the design and construction of the NEOM Headquarters.
Manage the design budget and schedule, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Represent Parsons in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
Foster a culture of creativity and collaboration within the design team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
Master's degree in Architecture or a related field preferred.
Minimum 25 years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management, with a strong focus on high-profile, complex projects.
Proven experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary design teams.
Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate a compelling design vision.
In-depth knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and construction practices.
Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and environmental considerations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to design excellence and innovation.
