Job Summary:

The Design Director - NEOM HQ will be a highly experienced and results-oriented professional responsible for leading and managing all aspects of architectural and design excellence for the NEOM Headquarters complex. This role requires a deep understanding of contemporary architectural principles, a strong design vision, and exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the overall design vision for the NEOM Headquarters complex, ensuring it reflects the innovative and aspirational goals of NEOM.

  • Lead and manage a team of architects, designers, and other design professionals.

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, urban planners, and other consultants, to ensure the integrated design and delivery of the project.

  • Oversee the development of design concepts, schematics, and construction documents for all aspects of the NEOM Headquarters complex.

  • Ensure the highest standards of architectural and design excellence are achieved throughout the project.

  • Promote innovation and sustainability in the design and construction of the NEOM Headquarters.

  • Manage the design budget and schedule, ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.

  • Represent Parsons in meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.

  • Foster a culture of creativity and collaboration within the design team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.

  • Master's degree in Architecture or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 25 years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management, with a strong focus on high-profile, complex projects.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing multidisciplinary design teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate a compelling design vision.

  • In-depth knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, and construction practices.

  • Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and environmental considerations.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to design excellence and innovation.
