Iron Mountain is looking for a Physical Security Systems Specialist with exceptional analytical, communication and collaboration skills to join its dynamic and growing team. The candidate will work within the Global Safety, Risk and Security team and will support business operations worldwide with a strong focus on supporting budget planning for the facility upgrade program.
The position is responsible for the design, installation and integration of security systems equipment including, but not limited to, Access Control/Intrusion Detection, CCTV Surveillance systems and Visitor Management Software. Primary liaison with Global Real Estate (GRE), facilities management vendors, and Global Safety, Risk and Security leadership. Reports to the Global Head of Security. The Specialist will interact with key stakeholders across the organization. This position will maintain and provide leadership with reporting on project status, insight into budget impact, and security system life cycle reporting. In addition, the Specialist will lead the development of the annual facility upgrade planning and budgeting process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES…
The ideal candidate for the role will be willing and able to work in all related disciplines, at all levels; from technology research to system design and layout, oversight of construction and implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades over the life of the system.
Shall have an in-depth knowledge of security technology, be innovative, highly organized, and will have demonstrated the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
Identify and utilize proper communication channels to ensure timely updates to various levels of the organization.
Design and deliver reporting and KPIs to understand project status and financial impacts.
Support other GSRS team members in their functional areas as directed - may include areas such as threat management, risk intelligence, executive protection and investigations.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS…
Project management training, skills, and expertise.
Demonstrated advanced critical thinking skills.
Technical understanding of physical security systems and barrier solutions.
Highly organized, adapts quickly to changing demands, great attention to detail, problem-solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently and knows when to escalate.
Able to respond to strategic direction, recognize leadership intent and re-prioritize workload accordingly Strong sense of personal accountability and sound professional judgment.
Experience managing security design and installation projects to include effective management of security integrators.
Experience managing multiple, complex projects, with a proven track record for results.
Ability to synthesize vast amounts of information to guide decisions.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in implementation of Milestone and Honeywell ProWatch. Completion of a recognized security certification is highly desired. Examples include but are not limited to: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Associate Protection Professional (APP). Understanding of industry standards related to physical security design to include areas such as crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED).
