What is the job about?

The Vendor Planner's primary purpose is to execute cross-plant supply and inventory planning, supporting essential supply planning tasks such as ordering, follow-ups, forecasting, vendor alignment, and handling invoice misalignment issues. This role is integral to vendor development and the deployment of best practices within operational planning, focusing on capacity management and contributing to SIOP/SIOE processes.

Among other exciting tasks, you will:

Cross Plant Supply Planning (80%)

  • Collaborate with local plants and regional vendor planning to create timely, feasible plans ensuring optimal inventory levels.

  • Manage documentation and registration processes related to purchase orders, including invoice discrepancies and PPO registration.

  • Handle order and scheduling with vendors for all Grundfos plants within the scope.

  • Align delivery schedules with vendors based on production plans and priorities.

  • Act as the daily driver towards selected vendors on operational planning matters.

  • Manage exceptions affecting purchase plans, such as quality issues, breakdowns, delivery changes, and allocations.

  • Ensure high master data quality within the area of responsibility.

Supply Optimization (20%)

  • Participate in medium to high-complexity SIOP cycle meetings, providing input and recommendations.

  • Contribute to vendor-related escalations, scenario planning, and strategic stock approvals within the SIOP cycle.

  • Drive and participate in the implementation and deployment of continuous improvements with a regional/global impact.

  • Continuously improve job role practices and methods based on performance and process indicators.

  • Collect, distribute, and present supply chain data for performance reporting and analytics.

  • Engage in development projects and design changes.

  • Align and optimize planning parameters, profiles, MRP setups, and master data across plants.

  • Enhance supplier delivery performance through better forecast accuracy and demand signals.

What do you need to apply?

  • Master’s Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Deep knowledge of planning and supply chain management.

  • Fluent English skills

  • Proficiency in global process management.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
