Crouse Hospital Patient Registration Rep- Main Admitting in Syracuse, New York
The Patient Access/ Registration Representative Float position ensures that all required patient demographic and insurance data is collected for treatment of care. Responsible for accurately entering the information into the hospital financial system and ensuring consent for treatment of the patient. This position functions within the main admitting area, and will go to offsite or outpatient areas as well as the emergency department when needed.
Education/Experience Requirements
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six (6) months- one (1) year experience in a fast paced office setting, preferably in healthcare setting or physician practice.
Certification/ Other Requirements
Required:
Must pass a patient access test with a score of 75% or higher, administered by Human Resources
Preferred:
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
