Crouse Hospital Nursing Assistant in Syracuse, New York

Crouse’s Orthopedic Unit specializes in patients being treated for musculoskeletal system issues and recipients of physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy. The Orthopedic team is hiring for a full-time Nursing Assistant.
The Nursing Assistant performs daily care activities to help achieve the goals of the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse.
Pay Range: $16.05 - $24.04 /hour (based on experience).
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts - 7pm to 7:30am, including every other weekend.

Nursing Assistant Position Responsibilities:
Assists the patient with daily care activities including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulating, personal hygiene and taking of vital signs.
Supports and actively contributes to the achievement of the patient's goals associated with the plan of care.
Individualizes communication based on the needs of the patients and families.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have one year of patient care experience, or is currently attending an accredited Registered Nursing program and has successfully completed the fundamentals of nursing coursework.
Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date.
