Eaton Corporation Group Project Manager in Syracuse, New York

Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Group Project Manager. This is a hybrid role based in Syracuse, NY and offers relocation assistance.

The Syracuse, NY site core competencies are iron & aluminum foundries, machining, plating, and assembly.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Director of Operations for Crouse-Hinds, you will be oversee the execution and maintenance of all assigned Crouse-Hinds capital-intensive projects pertaining to engineering, procurement and construction for foundry manufacturing sites. This role involves at least 25% travel to manufacturing locations within the group. Day to day activities include the following:

  • Prepare, submit and manage change orders between all respective vendors and Eaton

  • Directly supervise and develop a team of project manufacturing engineers in the performance of their respective roles and consistent with the Eaton Leadership model

  • Manage and communicate the scope of work & responsibilities between Eaton’s employees & Eaton’s suppliers / sub-contractors

  • Plan, establish, maintain and regularly update key stakeholders on project statuses, including timelines, milestone achievements, costs, and other relevant information

  • Collaborate with GEIS functional leaders to develop all project submittal documentation, including Scope of Work (SOW), Drawing Packages, Schedules, and other requisite documentation

  • Utilize the Management of Change (MOC) process to prepare, distribute, and implement project safety plans

  • Responsible for the financial performance of all projects, inclusive cash flow, budget and timing

  • Monitor, report and control costs on assigned projects within bid project margin

You will coordinate project assignments with employees at all levels of their respective business divisions, while effectively and confidently providing leadership throughout project timelines. Demonstrated Project Management experience will be key to being successful in this position. Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing/Operations, Continuous Improvement, and/or Manufacturing Engineering

  • Minimum three (3) years of plant manufacturing leadership experience

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in Engineering discipline preferred

  • Foundry experience

  • Lean Six Sigma experience
