Syracuse University Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement Operations in Syracuse, New York
Based in Washington, DC or New York, NY and reporting to the Executive Director, Alumni Engagement - Northeast, this role manages the communications and operational needs for programming for the Northeast region. The Assistant Director oversees content creation for digital communication channels, including websites and social media. They interface with staff based in schools/colleges and the OAEAG Communications team to amplify communications from those units across regional channels, as appropriate. They serve as the liaison to the AEA Web Services team on the development of event registration pages and email communication to the region. The role supports financial processes, including the budget reconciliation process and purchasing card reconciliations for staff. They will also interface with external vendors who provide required services for events and programs, through tasks such as invoice processing and payment. This position will support the logistical needs of events and programs in the region, which may be held at University facilities or at locations in the region. They will be responsible for supervising part-time staff and volunteers as needed, during events. Additionally, this position will assist with major events on campus including, but not limited to, Orange Central, Reunions, and Alumni Awards.
This position is eligible to be based out of our New York City location and our Washington DC location.
