Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRMAN AND FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T5303P01 and is part of the 174TH ATKW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR Responsibilities As an Airman and Family Readiness Specialist, GS-0301-09, you will serve as the family readiness and support services representative at an ANG Wing and coordinate concurrently with the Force Support Squadron Commander/Human Resource Officer (Director of Personnel (DP)) at each wing, Joint Force Headquarters - State (JFHQ-ST) Family Program Director, NGB Family Programs Office, and US Air Force/Major Command (MAJCOM) Family Readiness Directors. The incumbent provides assistance to the Wing leadership in the development and implementation of a family readiness and support program and provide family readiness assistance at the geographic separated unit(s) (GSU). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures. Must have experience in the development and implementation of family readiness and support program and provide family readiness assistance at the geographic separated units(s). Must have experience planning individual program activities; identifies and recommends methods of resolving problems; and recommends changes in procedures of programs that affect the individual member and family. Education If you are using Education to qualify for this position, must show proof of master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree You must provide OFFICIAL transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. Additional Information Additional Conditions of Employment: * "This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
