Key Responsibilities as you report into the CFO
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Liaising with external auditors.
General Ledger Management:
Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Cost Accounting:
Analyze manufacturing costs and provide insights on cost control and reduction.
Work closely with the production team to understand cost drivers and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Develop and enforce internal control policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing and payment.
Monitor cash flow and manage credit policies.
Requirements
